Cheap Electric Guitar | Quality Without All The Cost
Welcome to The Cheap Electric Guitar Blog. When I say CHEAP , I am talking just about the pricing of electric guitar, not the quality of construction. I say this because when you are looking for a decently priced axe, you will come across a lot of poorly constructed guitars. I have found and owned some real duds when it comes to budget electric guitars. Some are made of plywood or even worse, laminated particleboard. I had one such guitar that had a great neck and fretboard, but the screws holding on the pick guard eventually started popping out.
I also bought a really cool looking guitar that had a bridge mad out of silver painted plastic. I did not figure this out until I started to adjust the bridge to set the action a little lower. The pieces just popped off. I ended up having to glue them on with super glue. I eventually gave it to a friend who wanted to look cool onstage but did not play much.
The other thing that I look for is the quality of electronics on the electric guitars I talk about. I bought one guitar for about $200 that looked good, played really well, but the pickups sounded awful and the tone and volume pots quit working after a few months. The 5 way pickup selector switch also made loud crackles when switching from the different pickups. I eventually spent the money to replace all the pickups and wiring. (It did just fine after that.) I also remember that it was hard to keep in tune because the tuning pegs slipped, but that was just a matter of tightening them up a little.
Anyway, I wanted this blog to show some of the cheaper electric guitars that are built right. I figure you will find this blog in a search to find a good beginner electric guitar or a secondary electric guitar guitar. I will include extensive content on both as well as some really good electric guitars that deserve first string status even though they do not cost nearly as much as many other electric guitars with the same features. And all of them will be of the quality that will give you many years of enjoyable guitar playing (if you take care of them).
I just don’t want you to end up buying an electric guitar for yourself or family member that just falls apart after a few months of use, so you will find that the guitars I feature will be solidly constructed electric guitars, made with solid wood bodies, steel hardware, and quality pickups and electronics.
I think you will find the information here very useful when checking out various makes and models when you are trying to find a decent but cheap electric guitar.
